American rapper 50 Cent is the new jersey sponsor of the AFC Rumney women’s under-14 soccer team.
The Welsh club made the announcement on Tuesday. The 50-year-old 48 Cent’s name will appear on the front of the jersey, as will the name of his hip-hop group “G-Unit.”
The musician, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, is not the first high-profile American to invest in a Welsh football club. In 2021, actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought AFC Wrexham, a Welsh fourth-division club.
