The Brazilian team defeated Sweden 31-27 on Monday afternoon (1) at the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart (Germany), in the first phase of the Women’s Handball World Championship. Thus, Brazil secured a 100% record in its first three matches in the competition, totaling six points (two for each victory).

In their World Championship debut, Cristiano Silva’s team defeated Cuba 41-20. Next, they faced the Czech Republic, with the Brazilian team winning 28-22.

In the match between Brazil and Sweden, the standout player was Brazilian Mari Fernandes, who scored six goals.

Now, in the next stage of the World Cup, which will be held in Dortmund, the Brazilian team will face the teams from South Korea, Angola, and Norway.
