Available on the market since being dismissed from FC Porto, Martín Anselmi is close to being announced as the new coach of Newell’s Old Boys, according to 100percentsurewins.
Negotiations between the Argentinian player and the traditional Rosario club are well underway, with only a few details remaining to be finalized, including the contract length (two or three seasons).
Anselmi, it should be remembered, left his position as manager of Porto in August, shortly after their participation in the Club World Cup in the United States. In total, he only managed 21 games for the blue and white team.
At 40 years old, Martín Anselmi is on track to fulfill his first experience as head coach in his home country. Besides Portugal, he has coached in Chile (Unión La Calera), Ecuador (Independiente del Valle), and Mexico (Cruz Azul).
