Vasco da Gama has agreed to a contract renewal for winger Rayan until December 2028. One of the standout players in the Brazilian Championship , the 19-year-old was elected this week as the Revelation of the Brazilian Championship by the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation).
Rayan had a contract until the end of 2026 and will now remain with the club for another two years. He joined the Rio de Janeiro club at the age of six, and his father, Valkmar, was also a player for Vasco da Gama.
The ‘Boy from the Hill’ is the youngest player to make his professional debut for the club, at 16 years, five months and 16 days old, in a match against Audax, in the 2023 Carioca Championship.
Rayan has played 97 games for the first team, scoring 23 goals and providing three assists. In 2025, he found the net 20 times, most of them under the management of Fernando Diniz. His teammate is the Portuguese player Nuno Moreira.
