Former Cruzeiro player, Isa Haas, arrives in Mexico to play for Club América: ‘Happy and motivated’

24-year-old defender landed in the country this Monday (29)

With a Club América scarf in hand and a wide smile, Isa Haas landed in Mexico and took the first step in her new international stage. The Brazilian defender was welcomed last Monday (29) with symbols of her new club at the airport, a scene that officially marked her arrival in Mexican football and quickly gained repercussion among Águilas fans.

This move reinforces a trend that is nothing new in women’s football. For years, Mexico has established itself as an attractive destination for Brazilian players, offering infrastructure, continental visibility, and solid sporting projects.

Isa arrives in this context, but with an important difference: she is experiencing a moment of high career prominence, boosted by call-ups to the Brazilian National Team, under the command of Arthur Elias, and by the consistency she has shown at Cruzeiro . The sale was finalized for R$ 3.1 million, becoming the second largest in the sport in Brazil, behind only Amanda Gutierres.

Defender will play abroad after a great season at Cruzeiro.

Last season with the Minas Gerais club, the defender was a regular starter,  playing 26 games in 2025 , numbers that helped solidify her image as a reliable defender, strong in the air and with good defensive awareness.

Not surprisingly, Isa arrives in Mexico surrounded by expectation and with the status of a reinforcement ready to compete at a high level. Her teammate will be Priscila — the two even played together at Internacional.

“I’m very happy and motivated about this new stage in my career,” said the player, already on Mexican soil.

— I arrive at América of Mexico with a great desire to work, grow, and experience great moments wearing this jersey. After a special 2025, I arrive even more mature, confident, and prepared for this new challenge. May it be a year of hard work, evolution, and achievements. Ready to give my best from day one — she concluded.
