Wisła confirms. Leading scorer leaves for Wieczysta

Wisła Kraków has reached an agreement with Wieczysta Kraków regarding the permanent transfer of Joan Roman. The Spaniard will undergo medical tests in the team of the newcomer to the second league at the beginning of next week.

There has been talk of a possible transfer of Joan Roman to Wieczysta Kraków for a good few weeks. The player wanted to leave, but there was no agreement with Wisła Kraków regarding the amount of the transfer.

This was achieved on Friday evening. The “White Star” announced that the Spaniard will undergo medical tests at the beginning of next week. If they come out positive, he will become a player of the newcomer to the second league.

According to “Gazeta Krakowska”, Wisła is to receive 150,000 euros for its player, and after fulfilling bonuses, this amount may increase to 175,000 euros. He will sign a contract until June 30, 2026, with the option to extend it.

The 31-year-old was criticized by Wisła fans for his attitude last season. On the other hand, in Fortuna I Liga he scored 11 goals and was the team’s second best scorer (after Angel Rodado). He looked particularly bad in the spring round, when he irritated more often with his play than delighted. In 2024 he scored only two goals and did not help the team at a key moment of the season.

Coach Kazimierz Moskal did not include him in the squad for both matches against KF Llapi Podujevo in the first round of the Europa League qualifiers. This was a sign that he did not count on him for this season.
