Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Wire Preview
Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season is almost in the books, and you know what that means — time to hit those waiver wires. Whether your roster’s a mess or you’re just looking for a sneaky upgrade, we’ve got you covered with players worth snagging (and a few to steer clear of). Let’s jump right into the best adds at each position.
Running Backs: Kendre Miller Leading the Saints’ Charge
Kendre Miller is slowly taking over in New Orleans. The Saints have been moving toward a true two-back setup, and Miller’s been right in the mix, leading the team in carries last week. His workload keeps creeping up, and if that trend sticks, he could easily become a steady RB2 or flex play going forward.
With the Saints’ offense showing more balance lately, Miller’s blend of power and burst fits perfectly. If you’ve got a bench spot, this might be your last call before he’s gone.
Tight Ends: Young Guns on the Rise
It’s been a breakout couple of weeks for some fresh faces at tight end. A.J. Barner, Theo Johnson, and Mason Taylor have all cracked the top eight fantasy scorers at the position over the past two games — and the best part? They’re still sitting on most waiver wires.
Each of these guys is getting steady targets and looks near the red zone, which is gold in fantasy land. If you’ve been rotating tight ends all season, grab one and ride the hot hand.
Quarterbacks: Two Streamers Who Deserve a Look
Jaxson Dart – New York Giants (44.1% Rostered)
League Size: 10
Time Frame: Short & Long Term
It’s officially time to take Jaxson Dart seriously. Back-to-back strong outings have shown what he can do, especially with his legs. Against a tough defense last week, he ran seven times for 55 yards and added 202 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two picks on 26-of-40 passing.
The Giants aren’t exactly world-beaters, which means Dart will be throwing a ton while trying to catch up. That’s great for fantasy. He’s averaging 18.7 points per game since becoming the starter — just enough to flirt with QB1 numbers. With his rushing upside, Dart’s got a legit path to finishing the season as a top-12 fantasy QB.
Jake Browning – Cincinnati Bengals (5.0% Rostered)
League Size: 12
Time Frame: Long Term
It’s been a bumpy ride for Browning so far, but the fourth quarter of Week 4 might’ve been his turning point. After three ugly quarters, he led a wild comeback attempt, finishing with 251 passing yards and 31 rushing yards.
The real reason he’s worth a stash? That Bengals offense. With Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on his side — and a soft upcoming schedule — Browning’s got plenty of chances to rack up points. Cincy doesn’t face a top-15 pass defense until Week 17, and five of their next 10 games are against bottom-four units versus QBs.
If Browning can bottle up that late-game firepower for a full 60 minutes, he’s got QB1 potential written all over him (but yeah, that’s still a big “if”).
Betting Tips & Fantasy Angle
For bettors and fantasy players alike, this week’s waiver wire presents some sneaky value. Dart’s rushing prop lines could start climbing soon, so grabbing him now is sharp. Kendre Miller’s carry totals should also rise if his workload trend continues. And those young tight ends? Perfect DFS punts before the rest of your league catches on.

Wrap Up
Week 6 might not have many byes (just the Texans and Vikings sitting out), but this is still a key time to strengthen your roster. Jaxson Dart’s dual-threat upside, Kendre Miller’s growing workload, and a crop of emerging tight ends make this one of the best waiver weeks so far.
Don’t sleep — make your claims now before your league mates wake up.
