Grêmio announces the signing of Caio Paulista from Palmeiras.

The left-back, who belongs to Palmeiras, was officially announced by the Rio Grande do Sul club this Friday.

Palmeiras   agreed to loan left-back  Caio Paulista  to  Grêmio  this Friday (2). The player is the first reinforcement for the team from Rio Grande do Sul in this transfer window and will stay until the end of this season, with an option to buy .

The 27-year-old full-back is in Porto Alegre and was the new face at the team’s return to training at the Luiz Carvalho Training Center. Caio Paulista also underwent his first medical examinations at his new club.

In 2025, the player was loaned to Atlético-MG, where he played 36 games, 17 as a starter, and did not score any goals. At the time, the exchange involved defender Bruno Fuchs, who now belongs to Palmeiras.

The left-back arrived at Palmeiras in early 2024, after leaving rival São Paulo, and played 41 games for the club. Caio Paulista has a contract with Palmeiras until the end of 2028 and was signed for approximately R$ 18 million.
