Marcelo Fernandes reported on Sunday that the management of Santos decided to keep him in charge of the team until the end of the season, leaving the interim situation to stay permanently.

Marcelo Fernandes revealed the news shortly after the 4-1 thrashing of Vasco in the 25th round of the Brasileirão.

“Internally, (director of football Alexandre) Gallo talked to me and he confirmed, yes. I’m the coach of Santos today,” Marcelo Fernandes said at the post-match press conference in Vila Belmiro.
