José Mourinho, Benfica’s coach, in the flash interview with TVI/V+ following the 4-0 victory away to Moreirense, for the 14th round of the League:
Game analysis
“The last few years have been difficult for Benfica here. This year, Moreirense is even better, they have a good team, well-organized and with good players. We made the game easy because of how the players approached it and, in the second half, with confidence and stability, and a bit of arrogance, not accepting the 1-0 score and the risk of the result. We went looking for more and had a great second half.”
Happy with the team’s performance.
“I am. We’ve been able to hide some of our limitations and improve on the good things. The team plays in a very organized way, very self-assured. It’s an important victory, on a pitch where it’s difficult to win, especially in the way we did it. The players deserve congratulations.”
Fans chanting for the title at the end
“The fans want it, but they don’t want it more than we do. But we have a disadvantage that we can only overcome by winning games and hoping that those ahead of us don’t always win. Our next opponent in the championship, Famalicão at the Luz stadium, is one of those having a great season and presents significant challenges.”
