Official: Pepa is the new coach of Al Ahli (Qatar)

Al Ahli, ranked 10th and second-to-last in Qatar’s premier league, announced on Tuesday the hiring of coach Portuguese Pepa to take over as head coach of the Doha team.

Pepa is the new coach of Al Ahli, as Flashscore had already reported. According to the information provided by the Qatari club, the coach Portuguese signed a contract until the end of the season.

At Al Ahli, Pepa will command, among others, two well-known names in Portuguese football: Julian Draxler (ex-Benfica) and Idrissa Doumbia (ex-Sporting).

Al Ahli, for the record, has one win and four losses. It joins a championship that has three more Portuguese coaches: Leonardo Jardim (Al-Rayyan), Bruno Pinheiro (Al-Sadd), and Pedro Martins (Al-Wakrah).
