Poll: 85% of fans are against the 2030 World Cup on three continents

FIFA’s plans to hold the 2030 World Cup in six countries on three different continents have sparked a great deal of misunderstanding among football fans.

In a representative poll carried out by the opinion research institute Civey, no less than 85% of the approximately 1500 football fans surveyed rated the project as “negative“.

FIFA’s much-criticized decision to hold the matches first in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay, and then in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, was applauded by very few fans.

In the survey, only six percent of respondents welcomed the special conditions for the 100th anniversary of the World Cup. Nine percent expressed no opinion at all.
