Portuguese finish GT World Challenge with victory

The Portuguese Henrique Chaves and Miguel Ramos (McLaren) ended this Sunday the season of GT World Challenge Europe with a victory in the last race, held in Barcelona, scoring for the Endurance Cup.

The two Portuguese, who are teamed with Louis Prette, won in the Bronze class, placing 18th overall after the three hours of racing.

It was a great race. I got off to a good start and quickly got to the helm of our class. Everything was going well, but I suffered a touch that made me waste a lot of time. We didn’t put our arms down and I made a recovery up to fifth and then with a good strategy (pit stop), we were able to get to first. Miguel and Louis were very strong, too, and managed to gain a good advantage. In the end, we deserve this triumph,” said Henrique Chaves.

With this result, the Portuguese duo finished the season on the lowest step of the podium of the Bronze class.

The title in this category was won by Chris Froggatt, Jonathan Hui, and Eddie Cheever III (McLaren), who today finished in sixth place.
