What about the “missing” Lech Poznań player? A statement has emerged: Timothy Ouma is safe and sound. When will he return to Poland?
On Monday, November 24, disturbing news emerged regarding a Lech Poznań player. Kenyan Timothy Ouma did not return to Poland and remained in the country “to attend to his own affairs.” What about the Polish champions’ midfielder, who was loaned out in the summer? Lech Poznań spokesman Adrian Gałuszka immediately commented on the matter, sharing the positive news.
Confusion over Lech Poznań player Timothy Ouma returns to Poznań
The kkslech.com portal reported this morning that the player has not yet returned to the club for detailed tests but remains in Kenya, where he was supposed to “handle personal matters” after the national team training camp. Upon his return, according to the Kolejorz midfielder’s website, he will be interviewed by coach Niels Frederiksen.
Moments later, Poznań fans were reassured by Weszło.com, where journalist Szymon Janczyk learned that the Kenyan had agreed to his absence with the club. It was due to serious family matters.
There’s no hidden agenda in the situation, and there’s no question of injury. Lech’s spokesman, Adrian Gałuszka, also weighed in, effectively dispelling any doubts.
“After our agreement, Timo stayed in his country last week, we stayed in constant contact with him, and today he lands in Poznań . He is healthy and from tomorrow (Tuesday – editor’s note) he will train with the rest of the team,” we read in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Ouma’s numbers at Lech Poznań
Ouma, naturally, was left out of Lech Poznań’s matchday squad for their final match against Radomiak Radom (4-1). The Kenyan is currently considered a transfer bust in the PKO Ekstraklasa , as his numbers speak for themselves. Loaned from Slavia Prague, he has played in 11 PKO Ekstraklasa matches, failing to score or assist. In total, the Kenyan midfielder has made 21 appearances so far.
