He presented stories that reveal the negative side of the capital club, which is increasingly mired in chaos and disarray on many levels. A series of unsuccessful transfers has damaged the club’s reputation in the transfer market and left it stuck in mediocrity. Legia’s approach may also be driving away future coaches. The board operates as if it has no control over what’s happening inside or outside the club.

At the end of March, Legia saw a change in its sporting director position. Michał Żewłakow returned to the club after many years, replacing Jacek Zieliński, who had been moved to another position . He overestimated his choice of coach – Edward Iordanescu lasted only four months. He managed to reshuffle the squad, but most of the new signings have been rather disappointing so far.

As a result, the summer transfer window can be considered less than successful. This affects Żewłakow’s situation. He works with Fredi Bobic, and they have an internal division of duties. But according to “PS,” Bobic is supposed to do a better job than Żewłakow and simply do more. Piotr Wołosik stated bluntly that “Michał Żewłakow’s position isn’t the strongest, and things could change.” Olkowicz confirmed this.

“If we were to compare the two of them today to see who has more say, it would be Fredi Bobic. Fans attributed many transfers to Michał, but Fredi Bobic was the one who finalized many of them. However, he has been unemployed for two years.

“I’ve been holding on to the idea that Michał Żewłakow would be the one to decide on the coach. That’s what was announced when he arrived. He didn’t get the Vuković he wanted. There are so many rumors, but they’re fueled because Legia is operating somewhat blindly. If Fredi Bobic were to decide, then some dots would connect here,” Olkowicz added.

Legia’s next match is at home on Saturday against Lechia Gdańsk. The capital club is 11th in the PKO Ekstraklasa table with 17 points. They are 12 points behind leaders Górnik Zabrze and just four points clear of the relegation zone, where Lechia is .
