Barcelona beat Alavés (3-1) in the 14th round of the Spanish League. In their second game at the new Camp Nou, the Catalan side even started losing early in the match, but eventually won. They are, therefore, provisionally leaders of the League.
Pablo Ibanez opened the scoring just around 40 seconds into the game.
Lamine Yamal restored parity to the match shortly afterwards (8m). Barcelona took the lead in the game before the half-hour mark, with a goal from Dani Olmo (26m).
The home team sealed the game in stoppage time with a goal from their usual duo. Yamal set up Olmo, who made it 3-1 (90+3 m).
With this victory (3-1), Barcelona is currently in first place with 34 points. Real Madrid – second with 32 points – has not yet played in this round. Alavés is 14th with 15 points.
