Abel Ruiz left Girona’s Copa del Rey match with an injury. Abel Ruiz, a forward who played for SC Braga from 2019/20 to 2023/24, left Girona‘s match against Ourense (1-2) in the Copa del Rey in tears.
After providing the assist for what was then the equalizing goal, the striker had to be substituted in the 33rd minute due to injury.
The 25-year-old player left the field in pain, and an update on his condition is awaited to determine the extent of the injury and the length of his recovery.
The team would eventually be eliminated from the competition.
