FC Porto: Pepe misses Portimonense

The captain of the dragons continues to appear on the medical report, as do Zaidu, Gabriel Veron, and Marcano

FC Porto’s medical report remained unchanged for the last few days. Pepe, Marcano, Zaidu, and Gabriel Veron remain in the care of the blue and white medical department, led by Nélson Puga, and not even the captain recovers in time to face Portimonense on Sunday, at 18 pm, at Estádio do Dragão.

Who remains training in the first team is Zé Pedro, a central defender of the B team, who, due to the injuries of Pepe and Marcano and the punishment to be served by Fábio Cardoso – was sent off in the derby of Luz against Benfica –, should be called up to the starting lineup against the Algarve team, playing alongside David Carmo, in what will be an unprecedented pair of central defenders in official matches of the first team of FC Porto, as they have already played together last season for the ‘Bês’.

Finally, it should be noted that FC Porto will train again tomorrow, at 10.30 am. At the end of the session, Sérgio Conceição will preview the meeting with Portimonense, at 12 noon, in the press room of the Olival training center.
