After a not very successful season, Legia Warszawa is looking for reinforcements for the next competitions. Now the Military are aiming for a new striker and, according to information from Tomasz Włodarczyk from matchyki.pl, Efthymis Koulouris is to be a transfer candidate.
It is already clear that this year’s Polish championship will fall to one of the surprises of this season. Mathematically, there are only two teams left in the title game, i.e. Jagiellonia Białystok and Śląsk Wrocław, which means that all the favorites and cup winners failed all along.
There is disappointment in Częstochowa, Poznań, Warsaw and Szczecin and this means that some will be active on the transfer market, while others will be forced to sell players. Therefore, we cannot rule out that there will be a transfer hit in the PKO Ekstraklasa.
According to the information provided by Tomasz Włodarczyk from matchyki.pl, Legia Warszawa went to Szczecin in search of a striker, and Efthymis Koulouris was on its radar . Pogoń’s Greek sniper has very good numbers and such interest is not surprising.
The 28-year-old scored 12 goals and added two assists this league season, and everyone in Szczecin is satisfied with his attitude. However, it cannot be ruled out that Pogoń’s financial situation will force it to sell the striker, because the lack of European cups next season may have a significant impact on Port’s budget.
Legia could benefit from such a solution, as they probably will not be able to spend huge amounts of money on a striker. Although its budget will certainly be higher due to the fact that Josue will leave after the season, whose contract placed a significant burden on the club.
