Lucas Silva and Cruzeiro’s equaliser: “We wobbled again, we have a lot of games to go”
Remember the incidences of the match
Playing at home, in Mineirão, Cruzeiro only drew to continue without winning at their stadium in 2023, an uncomfortable series that continues every game at Gigante da Pampulha.
The celestial team, second worst to play at home, is in 12th place with 30 points, four more than the first team below the water line.
“We wobbled again. We started well and scored the goal, then we fell. We need more whimsy from the middle to the front, when it comes to finishing and serving. We arrived, but we couldn’t finish well. We have to have a good head and close the group internally. We have a lot of games ahead of us,” recalls Lucas Silva.
Whistles from fans
Cruzeiro left, again, booed from the field, under the cries of “team without shame”.
Lucas understands the reaction of the fans.
“They supported us the whole game and criticized us after the tie. It’s part of it. They want to see race and that’s what we had,” the Cruzeiro midfielder explained.
“We didn’t stop running and fighting, especially when we were one man short. We have to get better at the details. Now it’s about working to improve and confirm the victories,” Lucas Silva said in an interview with Premiere.
Cruzeiro, remember, had midfielder Fernando Henrique sent off in the discounts.
The blue team returns to play on the 14th, away from home, against Cuiabá.
