São Paulo wins the 2025 edition of the School Paralympic Games.

The 2025 edition of the School Paralympic Games has come to an end, and the state of São Paulo secured the title of the world’s largest sporting event for young people with disabilities of school age, which featured the participation of 316 athletes from all over Brazil.

This is the 13th time the state has won the competition organized by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB). In fact, São Paulo is the biggest winner of the event, with titles in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

To win the 2025 edition of the School Paralympic Games, São Paulo totaled 725 points. Minas Gerais came in second with 336 points, while Santa Catarina is third with 330 points.

“Holding another edition of the School Paralympic Games is a source of immense pride for the Brazilian Paralympic Committee. This was the first edition under my leadership, which makes this moment even more special. We are facing something much bigger than a sporting event: we are strengthening opportunities, broadening horizons, and building futures. The School Paralympic Games represent the foundation of our movement. It is here that many young people discover their potential, find support, create bonds, and begin to forge a path that can lead them to high performance,” declared the president of the CPB, José Antônio Freire. 

The 2025 edition of the School Paralympic Games was divided into two stages. In the first, from November 17th to 21st, athletes competed in athletics, wheelchair tennis, weightlifting, blind football, 3×3 wheelchair basketball, goalball, taekwondo, and wheelchair rugby. Then, between November 26th and 28th, athletes competed in swimming, sitting volleyball, cerebral palsy football, judo, badminton, table tennis, and boccia.
