In a packed arena in Gdynia, the Poles struggled to find their footing for the first few minutes. They then had the upper hand, but their moments of strength were interspersed with their moments of weakness. A remarkable debut by American with a Polish passport, Jerrick Harding , and a superb fourth quarter by the Polish national team sealed the victory for coach Igor Milicic's team.
Jerrick Harding, who made his debut in the Polish national team and received Polish citizenship in August this year, led the "White and Reds" to victory against Austria
