Kane: “I hope to spend another eight or nine years at the highest level”

Harry Kane says he hopes to be fit for another eight or nine years and wants to help England win the Euros on home soil in 2028.

England’s top scorer, who will turn 35 a month before the start of Euro 2028, said it would be a “dream come true” to win the tournament after losing the 2020 final to Italy at Wembley.

“The perception in sport or football is that you reach the age of 30 and people start to think it’s the end,” said the Bayern Munich striker after the United Kingdom and Ireland were named hosts of the Euro. “But the way I look at it is that I’m almost in the second half of my career,” said the Bayern striker, after the United Kingdom and Ireland were named hosts of the Euro.

“Maybe everything is sorted out in your personal life, in your family, in your children. We are comfortable with our body and mentally, at the point where we are. That allows us to concentrate on football,” he concluded.
