Jakub Kosecki spoke about Vrdoljak
Many experts believe that Legia Warsaw lacks a true leader on the pitch. Not just one with great skills, but one with incredible character. It’s hard to disagree. Warsaw currently lacks a player like Croatian central midfielder Ivica Vrdoljak , who played 191 games for Legia, scoring 27 goals, and providing 17 assists. Jakub Kosecki, a traditional guest on our program “To jest 100percentsurewins,” weighed in on his case.
“I send you my warmest regards, Ivica Vrdoljak. I swear to you, when he came into the locker room upset after a bad match , or the next day, I didn’t even want to go to training. I wanted to wash up as quickly as possible and get the hell out of there. He was choking us in there, saying very nasty things about us—I won’t quote him—and he was swearing,” admitted Jakub Kosecki.
He added that Vrdoljak demonstrated great character at every step. He provided examples.
“When Ivica missed two penalties, he was obviously very self-conscious. But when it came time to score another penalty, he did it. When it came time to get in front of the cameras, Ivica did too. Legia vs. Lech, the championship match, a packed stadium, 0-0 in the 80th minute, and who took the penalty? Ivica. The guy had balls of steel, charisma, and character. If he scored now, oh my god,” added Jakub Kosecki.
