In a conference held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, the former FC Porto coach left in the air the possibility of running for the presidency of the club.
“The elections are scheduled for April 2024 and there are a number of personal and professional considerations that I have to take into account. My friends consider it the most irrational decision of my life, they don’t understand how it can generate so much passion within me. But the reality is that my English family is closely linked to the foundation of FC Porto. Something that I only found out later and that reinforces this sense of destiny”, said André Villas-Boas.
Asked about the candidacy, he was reluctant: “We’ll see. FC Porto has to prepare for another phase of its life, where new leaders enter”.
